Inside the Americas megaserver every ruleset runs its own economy. Gold and characters stay where they were created.

Character names have 2 parts and are unique across the whole region, on every ruleset at once. That keeps the address of an order short: ruleset, faction and name.
Delivery
Time zones, layers and the hand-off
One world stretching from Vancouver to Santiago adds 2 practical wrinkles to delivery, and mail solves both.
- Time zones. The seller's working hours may be your night. Mail removes the problem, because nobody has to be online at the same moment.
- Layers. Each zone runs several copies, and 2 players can stand on the same spot without seeing each other. Mail ignores layers; for a trade, a party invite moves you both onto one.
- Launch hour. Servers open November 4 at 3:00 p.m. PST, which is already evening on the East Coast and in most of South America.
- Meeting point. When a trade is face to face, a capital city is the quickest and safest place to do it.

Find the ruleset
It is shown on the character screen and was fixed when the character was created. That is the only ruleset whose gold the character can spend.
Check the faction
Mail and trade work inside one faction. On PvP your account has only one; on the other rulesets pick the side of the character who will spend the gold.

What can go wrong with a US gold order
The Americas and Europe are separate worlds, and most failed orders come from an address that does not match.
US gold reaches
- Any Americas character on the ruleset and faction you ordered for
- Players anywhere in North or South America, since it is one world
- Your mailbox, at any hour
US gold never reaches
- A character in the Europe region
- Another ruleset inside the Americas
- The other faction
- Buying before launch. The beta closed on October 21, and until November 4 there is no Forever gold in any world, so a coin paid for now can only arrive after the servers open.
- Wrong ruleset. The coin lands in an economy your character never sees.
- Wrong faction. Mail and trade cannot cross, so the order cannot be delivered at all.
- Misspelled name. Names have 2 parts and may carry accented letters; copy them exactly.
- A request for your login. Delivery never needs it, and a seller who asks is the wrong seller.

Do I need a realm name to order?
No. Forever has no realms. Region, ruleset and faction identify the world, and your 2-part character name is unique across the whole region.
How much is 1 WoW Forever gold worth in US dollars?
It depends on the ruleset, and the rate is read again on every build. The price table near the top of this page lists 1 gold, 100 and 1,000 in dollars for Normal, PvP and Roleplay.
Can gold bought in Europe reach my US character?
No. The regions are separate worlds: characters, mail, trade and the Auction House never cross between them.
Is mail or a trade faster?
Mail, when you and the seller are online at different hours, which across the Americas is often. A trade is instant once a party invite has put you both on the same layer.
Does it matter where in the Americas I live?
No. North and South America share one world and one price per ruleset. Where you live only changes which hours suit a face-to-face trade.
When does the Americas world open?
November 4, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. PST. The beta closed on October 21, so until then no Forever gold exists anywhere: a listing before launch is a promise of delivery after it.
