WoW Forever gold prices on this page are read, not typed. On every build a script visits the sellers we track, takes the cheapest listing for each ruleset and converts it to dollars, so the rows above are only as old as the date beside them.
The gap between the cheapest and the dearest coin is wide, and it says more about the calendar than about value. The beta is closed, the live world opens November 4, and in between nobody holds a single Forever coin, so every seller is guessing what one will be worth on opening day. That is also why the cheapest WoW Forever gold is not automatically the one to pick: delivery time, stock and ruleset matter as much as the rate.

Supply and demand
What sets the price of a coin in Forever
A handful of forces move the number. One of them pushes it up at launch; most of the others push it down over the weeks that follow.

The supply side is where Forever differs most from Classic. Gathering is free and early, campsites cut the trips back to town, and the account-wide perks reward farming on every character you own. That is why a coin gets cheaper to make as the weeks go by.
Demand has its own twist. GDKP is gone from Forever, and the auction raids that used to soak up gold every week went with it. Fewer people need large sums at once, which thins the market more than it lowers the rate.
What gold buys
What you will spend gold on, level 1 to 60
Forever keeps the level-60 cap and the old vanilla scale, so 1,000 gold is still a lot of money. The big costs are known in advance.

Dollar column at today's cheapest board rate, PvP. Riding costs are confirmed by the developers; the raid-night line is an order-of-magnitude estimate from earlier versions of the game.
On December 9, 3 raids open together: Barrow Deeps for 10 players, Hyjal Summit for 20 and Onyxia's Lair for 40. Potions, food and repairs for those nights are the steadiest gold sink after riding, and they come back every week.
Riding is the cost most players plan around, and what riding costs breaks it down tier by tier. Most people farm that money themselves; WoW Forever gold for sale is for the evenings you would rather spend in dungeons than on herb routes.
Rulesets
Normal, PvP, Roleplay or Hardcore gold
Gold cannot move between rulesets. A coin earned on Normal stays on Normal, so the ruleset you pick at character creation is the market you buy in.
Normal
Co-op play, with PvP only by consent, and the largest population. More farmers means more supply, which is why Normal gold tends to be the cheapest line on the board.
PvP
Horde and Alliance can attack each other anywhere. Farming routes get interrupted and consumables run out faster, and PvP gold prices that in.
Roleplay
Normal rules with a roleplay community. The smallest population farms the least, so Roleplay gold is usually the dearest of the three.
Hardcore
One life, arriving after launch, and nobody sells it yet. A character that dies moves to another ruleset and takes its gold along, which is what Hardcore gold comes down to.
All four share one world per region. The Americas megaserver covers North and South America with no realms to choose, and character names have 2 parts that are unique across the region.
Before launch
Pre-launch gold or launch gold
The beta closed on October 21 and everything on it was wiped. Until the servers open, gold is sold as a promise rather than a coin.

Compare and choose
Set the ruleset, the faction and the amount in the calculator. The rate follows the ruleset; the faction only decides who can hand the coin over.
Order from the seller
The button sends you to Onlyfarms, where you pay. There is no checkout on this site, and no card details pass through it.
Collect in game
The gold arrives by in-game mail or in a face-to-face trade. Mail waits in your mailbox until you log in.
Three ways WoW Forever gold reaches you
- In-game mail. The seller mails the gold to your character and it sits in the mailbox until you log in. Nothing has to be timed and layering cannot get in the way, which is why most orders go this route.
- Face to face. You meet in game and the coin moves through the trade window. The fastest of the three, but both characters have to be online at the same moment, and a party invite is what puts you on the same layer of the zone.
- Through the auction house. You list an item nobody else wants at the agreed figure and the seller buys it. Useful for larger amounts and the slowest route, because the house keeps a cut of every sale and the seller is the one paying it.
How long it takes is decided by stock and by whether a courier is online, not by the size of the order. Mail asks nothing of you except logging in afterwards; the other two need both sides at the keyboard at once. A seller who cannot say which route is ready today is telling you something about the shelf, not about the route.

Mail and trade work only inside one faction, so an order placed for the wrong side cannot be delivered at all. For a face-to-face hand-off, a party invite puts both characters on the same layer of the zone, which is how two people find each other in a crowded world.
Stock
Where WoW Forever gold comes from
Nobody mints WoW Forever gold. Every coin on sale was picked up by somebody playing.
With no Token and no paid levelling, Forever has nothing that turns money into gold inside the game. A seller's stock is farmed the same way yours would be: ore and herbs off the gathering routes, drops and vendor trash out of dungeon runs, margins made on the auction house. That is the entire supply, and it is why the rate follows how many people are out farming rather than anything set by Blizzard.
It also explains the thing worth checking in a listing. A shelf that claims every ruleset at once, on a world 2 weeks old, is quoting an intention rather than stock. Stock and delivery time are the honest half of an offer, and both sit beside the rate on the live market page.
Timing
When to buy WoW Forever gold
The rate will not stand still after launch. This is the order in which things happen.

About this board
Why compare before you buy
Every gold seller shows you one price: their own. This board puts them side by side and adds our listed seller's launch rate, so you can see how far apart the market really is before you spend anything.
Each figure is read off live listings on every build and carries a date; nothing is typed in by hand. When a seller stops listing a ruleset, the board says so instead of guessing. We do not take orders or hold gold: when you buy through a link here, the order, the payment and the delivery all happen with the seller.
The gap is not a rounding error. The board at the top carries both ends of it — the cheapest WoW Forever gold anyone lists today and the dearest, read in the same pass — and the distance between them is the whole argument for looking before you spend. No seller will show you that, because no seller can see the next shelf from their own page. The cheapest row is not automatically the right one either: stock and delivery decide whether a rate is real.
The game
What WoW Forever is, in short
Enough of it to see why the gold behaves the way it does.
Forever opens November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST and keeps the cap at level 60. It is not another run through the old expansions: the original Azeroth is the whole game, and it grows sideways rather than upward, with new zones, dungeons and raids added to the same world instead of stacked on top of it.
There are no realms. Each region is a single world and you pick a ruleset instead of a server, which is why a character name is unique across the region and why two people standing in the same spot can be on different layers of it.
New at launch: the Skyborne, a playable race starting on Zephras Isle, 6 fresh race and class combinations, 9 dungeons spread across the climb instead of bunched at the end, and levelling zones of their own in Riverglades for the mid-30s and Mount Hyjal at the top. The first raids open in December.
What all of that means for money is simple. No Token, no paid levelling, so every piece of WoW Forever gold in the world was earned by somebody playing, and the price follows the farming instead of an exchange rate.

Asked before buying
Can I buy WoW Forever gold today?
Not gold you can receive yet. The beta closed on October 21, 2026 and was wiped, and Forever opens November 4, 2026, so until then no Forever gold exists in any world. A listing you see today is a pre-launch offer: the coin can only be delivered after the servers open. The rate in the calculator is what our listed seller charges from opening day.
This site takes no payment and holds no gold. It is a directory: we publish what sellers list, and the order is placed on their site.
How much is WoW Forever gold worth in dollars?
It depends on the ruleset and on the day. The board at the top of this page shows the current rate for a single gold piece on Normal, PvP and Roleplay, read from live listings. Multiply it by the amount you need, or let the calculator do it.
Is there a WoW Token in Forever?
No, and no paid boosts either. With no shop selling currency, every coin in the world was picked up by a player, so the price follows farming instead of a fixed exchange rate.
Which ruleset and faction should I buy gold for?
The ones your character plays on. Gold cannot cross between rulesets, and mail and trade only work within a faction, so a coin bought for the wrong ruleset or the wrong faction has no way to reach you.
Which realm do I choose?
None. Each region is one world, and inside it you choose a ruleset instead of a server. Character names are unique across the whole region, so the name is all a seller needs to find you.
Can Alliance and Horde hand gold to each other?
No. Mail and the trade window are same-faction only, exactly as in 2004. One world per region changed where you play, not who you can hand things to, so the faction in the calculator is a delivery address rather than a price.
Do I have to share my account to receive gold?
No. Delivery needs your character's name, ruleset and faction, nothing more. A seller who asks for your login, your password or an authenticator code is not someone to buy from.
How is the gold delivered?
In-game mail, or hand to hand. Mail ignores layering and waits in the mailbox; for a face-to-face trade a party invite pulls you both onto the same layer. Neither route involves your account details.
Why does the price change every day?
Because it is measured, not set once. Every build of this site reads the live listings again, and on a market this young they move daily. The date beside the board tells you how fresh the numbers are.
Where does a seller's WoW Forever gold come from?
From play. Forever has no Token and no paid levelling, so nothing inside the game turns money into gold: a seller's stock is farmed on the gathering routes, pulled out of dungeon runs and made back on the auction house. It is also why stock runs out — a shelf is only as deep as the farming behind it.
How long does WoW Forever gold delivery take?
It follows the stock and the route rather than the size of the order. Mail asks nothing of you but logging in afterwards, while a face-to-face trade and an auction house hand-off both need you and the courier online at the same time. Every listing on the market page carries the delivery time the seller publishes, next to the rate and the stock.
Which ruleset has the cheapest WoW Forever gold?
Whichever one is being farmed hardest that week. The rate follows supply, so the order of Normal, PvP and Roleplay on the board changes as players move between them — naming one here would be out of date by the next reading. The board at the top of this page is sorted for you, and a coin bought on the wrong ruleset cannot be moved to another one afterwards.
Can I buy gold for Hardcore?
Not yet. Hardcore is a ruleset of its own in Forever and there is nothing listed for it on the board, which is why it shows as not in game rather than as a price. The Hardcore page follows what sellers do list, and the rules there make gold behave differently enough to be worth reading before launch.
How much WoW Forever gold do I need?
Less than the round numbers in a calculator suggest. Riding at 40 and again at 60 is the one large bill of the climb; everything after it — bags, repairs, respecs, profession materials — is small on its own and only adds up over weeks. What riding costs has the figures, and the section above lists the rest in order.
